A pair of new luxury condos has risen along South Park, replacing the two-story single-familythat once stood there. Cass Calder Smith of CCS Architecture joined forces with Geddes Ulinskas Architects and MT Development to unite numerous signifiers of wealth in one building, starting with the eyefuls of greenery framed in the asymmetrical windows and ending luxuriantly yet predictably in a, what else, rooftop Jacuzzi. The penthouse’s master bathroom alone contains $60,000 worth of Calacatta marble, we’re told. The penthouse has three bedrooms, three-point-five baths, and is looking for $4.995 million.
There’s also a lower-floor residence with three bedrooms and two-point-five baths, listing for $2.995 million. Both residences are finished in a steely modern palette of grays and white, softened up just a tad by down-to-earth oak flooring and some warm brown Ann Sacks tile in the bath. The exterior is, of course, supersleek (that’s reflective polished stainless steel you see there), because what is a condo but a stainless steel appliance for living?
